Local Attractions

Outside of playing golf, or if you plan on travelling with non-golfers in your party, then there are a wide range of activities to be enjoyed within the local area of Ayrshire during your stay.

Ayrshire and Arran provide plenty of apres golf activities making it a wonderful destination in its own right.  Robert Burns, whisky, castles and historic buildings, great walks, cycling, beach paths, great fresh produce, live music and theatre, markets and character craft and retail. Ayrshire and Arran has it all.

We list below the highlights and links so that you can gather more information about those that you are interested in experiencing during your stay.

The VisitScotland website is also worth visiting to provide further information on local attractions as well as if you plan on travelling further afield.  For example, the Isle of Arran or Glasgow are easily accessible from Ayrshire for a day trip.  The World Masters Golf Championship travel partner, St Andrews Golf Travel, can also help you make the most of your time around the championship.
